How to Become an ABSC Approved Recycler
Becoming an ABSC Approved Recycler is a straightforward process designed to ensure sustainable and ethical mattress recycling practices. To get started, review the ABSC Recycler Scheme Guidelines to ensure your operations align with sustainability and reporting standards. Once familiar with the requirements, submit your application, including details about your operations, licenses, and material recovery processes.After submission, ABSC will assess your application, which may include an on-site or desktop audit to verify compliance with industry best practices. Once approved, recyclers must track and report key data, such as the number of mattresses processed, recycling vs. landfill rates, and material recovery outcomes.
